APPSC OTPR Registration 2024 [appsc.gov.in]

Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission official portal open OTR registrations 2024 for AP civil services aspirants. This service is called OTPR on official website of AP Public Services Commission. One Time Profile Registration enable candidates to apply for all the APPSC posts through just one single ID called OTPR ID. Recently APPSC release result for Grade A posts on 23rd March 2024. All the candidates can log in with their OTPR ID and password to get their results.

It is compulsory for all the candidates who seek jobs under APPSC to register for OTPR. The minimum age for OTPR registration is 18 years and maximum age varies from post to post. Candidates can go to the official website of APPSC, click on the link and upload all their information including documents. After registration they get an OTPR ID and Password. Later while applying for other jobs under APPSC they can simply log in with this ID and apply.

What is APPSC?

Andhra Pradesh Public Services Commission is a state constitutional body that conducts recruitment for various civil services posts in the state of Andhra Pradesh. It came into existence in 1956 by converting the initial 1953 Andhra Service Commission into APPSC.  Finally it was formed by merging Andhra Public Service Commission and Hyderabad Public Service Commission. It is currently located at Vijaywada, Andhra Pradesh.

Duties and Responsibilities of APPSC

  • Statutory functions-Direct Recruitment (Article 320 (1)) Recruitment by transfer (Article 320(3)(b)) Statutory rules relating to services (Article 320 (3)(a) and (b)) Disciplinary cases (Article 320 (3)(c) and regulations 17 (1)(a) to (e)) Reimbursement of legal expenses (Article 320 (3)(d)) Wound and extraordinary pension cases (Article 320 (3)(e))
  • Recruitment functions-On all matters relating to methods of recruitment to civil posts. Accepting applications for all such posts and various selection tests.
  • Disciplinary Functions-On disciplinary matters affecting a person in service under the Central or State Govt. Disciplinary actions on individuals and institutions that come under its jurisdiction for any default. It also guide these institutions for a smooth functioning.
  • Examination and appointments-Conduct of departmental tests for several departments Conduct of examination for admission to RIMC, Dehradun. Conduct of half yearly examination for IAS and IPS Officers and proficiency tests for AIS Officers. Watching of temporary appointments exceeding 3 months and according to concurrence for their continuance (regulation 16) Consultation in cases of appointment of contract extending over 5 years (regulation 16).

Follow these steps to apply for APPSC OTR/Log in

  1. Go to official website of APPSC i.e portal-psc.ap.gov.in/Default.aspx.
  2. Click on One Time Registration box on the right side of screen.
  3. Click on New Registration link for Direct Recruitment.
  4. Candidate should fill in the form provided for OTPR and after submission candidate will get unique Reference OTPR ID to the candidate’s Mobile Number and EmailId.
  5. Enter Educational information. Then upload Photo and signature.
  6. Click on ‘Preview’ to see the full filled application.
  7. If all the details are correct, tick the declaration box and finally click ‘submit’.
  8. After generation of Reference OTPR ID, application will be termed as successfully registered.
  9. Candidate should keep this Reference ID for future correspondence. They can login in future and apply for other APPSC jobs.
