Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) release official notification for Panchayat Development Officer (HK & RPC) 2024. There are total 247 posts released under Department of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, Government of Karnataka by Karnataka Gram Panchayat. There are 97 posts for Hyderabad-Karnataka and 150 seats for Residual Parent Cadre in RDPR department. Applications for KPSC PDO start from April 15 2024. Application is online mode on official website and last date to apply for KPSC PDP is 15 May 2024.
Candidates who are above 18 years old and hold a bachelor degree from a recognise university. Exam is offline mode comprising of a Kannada language exam, General knowledge exam, English and Computer Knowledge. Total duration of exam is 3 hours and 30 mins.
The eligible candidates can register themselves on official website and fill examination form. They pay exam form fee, upload documents and submit their application upto 15 may. The exam date is yet to be announced by KPSC.

What is KPSC PDO exam?
PDO exam is conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority to fill positions in Gram panchayats across the state. The exam takes place every year.
Roles/Job profile of KPSC PDO
- supervise and monitor the operation or functioning of Gram Panchayats and advise the elected representatives on decision-making processes and procedures at Gram Panchayat and Standing Committee Meetings.
- Approve and implement gram panchayat level projects as quickly as possible.
- Implement all central and state government level schemes on Gram Panchayat level.
- Exercise all powers conferred to him by the Panchayati Raj Act.

Eligibility for KPSC PDO exam
- Nationality– All Indian citizens are eligible for application to KPSC PDO 2024 posts.

Selection process for KPSC PDO posts 2024
There are mainly two steps in the selection process. 1st stage is Kannada Language proficiency test and then 2nd stage is Competitive exam. Finally interview takes place.

- OTR- candidates need to go to official website of KPSC udyog and do a One Time registration. After completing their registration they don’t need to upload their information again at the time of applying for post.
- Apply for KPSC PDO 2024– go to official website of ‘KPSC online’ or ‘KPSC udyog’ and log in. then select the name of posts i.e KPSC PDO application 2024.
- Fill details require in application form. Select the specific post for HK or RPC and enter your information.
- Upload the documents as asked in the form and in the necessary format.
- Pay KPSC PDO application fee according to your category and download a proof.
