Department of School education, Chhattisgarh release notification for admissions in one of its finest schools known as Swami Atmanand Excellent Schools (SAGES). Online applications for admissions from class 1 to 12 are acceptable from April 10 to May 5 2024. The main purpose of these schools is to provide quality education to children from Below Poverty Line class of society. These schools have state of the art infrastructure like ultra modern computer labs, library, science labs and highly trained teachers. These schools ensure a all round development of child. 25% of total seats are reserve for children from BPL category who are selected based on a lottery system. 50% seats in these schools are reserve for girls. The admission is based on Entrance test, merit list and then number of vacancy available.

Children who are from Chhattisgarh can apply for admissions on official website. Children who lost their parents during COVID are welcome to apply for admissions under ‘Mahtari Dular yojana’. Applicant can simply click on apply enter their information and submit fee. They can only choose one school to apply for. The last date to apply for admissions is May 5 for admission in SAGE schools 2024. If there is a tie for one seat then seat is assigned by using lottery system.

About Swami Atmanand Excellent Schools

Swami Atmanand Excellent Schools (SAGES) is a chain of English/Hindi medium schools established by the Government of Chhattisgarh. The schools are fully funded by the Department of School Education, Government of Chhattisgarh. Education is provided free of cost up to grade 8, with a nominal fee applicable from grade 9 to grade 12.

The Swami Atmanand English Medium School Scheme was inaugurated on November 1, 2020, by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel of Chhattisgarh, on the occasion of Statehood Day, in honor of Swami Atmanand, who dedicated his life to serving the tribal people and promoting compassion and service.

3. Select medium of school, your district, name of school you want to take admission in, class of admission and other details.
4. Upload passport size photo of student and enter OTP you receive on your mobile number.
5. Then Click on ‘apply for admission on SAGES’.
6. Upload all documents and click on submit.
